This wasn’t the trip we originally planned for today, but we always enjoy a trip up the road to Amish Country.
Bantams.. need some bantams…
It’s official – I really want some guineas too! Beautiful feathers, interesting faces…
Lots of fun and games at recess. Seems it was recess at each of the schools we passed. Such a cold day, but they didn’t seem to mind.
All in all, a very good day, enjoying peace and quiet.
Sending all of you lots of peaceful, quiet, uninterrupted moments. Priceless!

Very pretty Tammy! I think you definitely need some Guineas cause the Guineas that land at Flat Creek Farm will think they died and gone to heaven! Amish Country always a trip to peaceful. Enjoy your weekend :)
You captured the day perfectly...it's like I was in the car (buggy) with you.

What beautiful pictures. Hope you're having a nice weekend!
Great photos! I just posted about my trip to Amish country while I was in NY. The houses & schools you posted were the ones I had in mind being clean, neat and tidy. The ones I saw were run down. It surprised me. I would love to live near some Amish country.
Your photos are beautiful, Tammy. Yes, i think you need some Bantam chickens, too. They're cute :) :) Love and hugs from the ocean shores of California, Heather :)
Great photos!

Love the pictures..I always enjoyed riding through Amish country when we lived in Wisconsin. They came to my Garage sale one time with a Horse and Buggy and my DD was 4 at the time..I can still remember how much awe she was in. Takes special people to live like the Amish and such a better way to live :)
Thank you. I needed this peaceful little journey today.
I'm glad I was seeing it from somewhere cozy, though. It looks chilly out there!
Lovely photos, you know how I love the Amish, and the spotted critter very pretty!
Great pics - - - so glad you enjoy slowing down and celebrating the everyday things in life! They are worth celebrating.
Love your road trip pictures.
We talked about heading out with the cameras this past weekend. Now I wish we had! I was thinking the same thing Patti was. When I took pictures of those kids at that same school house, they were all barefoot! Beautiful pictures.
You must live in the most beautiful part of the country. Gorgeous!
Just beautiful Tammy!
You always have the most amazing photos that not only capture beauty and grace, but transcend time. Enjoy your week!
