The newest member of our family -- Mr. W’s 2 month old Mountain Cur puppy.
It’s been a long time since we’ve had a puppy around here, and she is a fireball. Banjo (our almost 10 year old JRT) and Chloe (our 6 year old Corgi mix) are not pleased.
Pecking orders are being established, and slowly things are calming down a bit.
I hope :)

Oh my! Goldie is just precious!!! In no time at all it will be as if she was always there. We were concerned when we brought our cavalier king charles pup home to our lab who was 10 and chow who was 5 at the time. Within weeks they were all getting along famously.
Have fun with her! :)
Cute puppy!! I have never heard of that bread, how large does it get?
Welcome Goldie! How wonderful to have a new puppy. I'm driving to Saint Louis in a couple of weeks to pick up a Ragdoll kitten - can't wait!
Omigosh! How cute. I love the purple touch at its collar.

Hi Tammy...what a sweet little girl! I had never heard of a Mountain Cur dog before so I looked it up...wow she's going to be a fun dog for your hubby and a good guard dog for the farm. Well once she's finished the goofy puppy stage ;) that is. We had to go through that pecking order with our dogs too...try that with two little Shih Tzu's and one Akbash (Turkish livestock guarding dog)pup. He weighs around 125 lbs or more and is 3rd in the pecking order ;) At night he guards the farm and I certainly wouldn't want to be a prowler and meet him face to face. Enjoy your new member of the family and I look forward to seeing more photo's as she grows.
Maura :)

Oh my goodness---so much sweetness in one little body! I love the lavender collar!

Awwww, sweet. W got a new Blue Heeler pup early this summer and I could kick myself for not gettin' the itty~bitty picture of her.
God bless ya and have an incredible day sweeite!!! :o)
She is a doll! I'm sure they will all eventually learn to get along and love each other. Every time I think we won't get any more pets, we fall in love again. It is the way of our world!
Enjoy Goldie. She is lucky to have you.
Aww, he's just precious !
The first time I was introduced to a Mountain Cur was some thirty years ago as a young veterinary tech, I truly thought the owners have made up the breed :)
Such a sweet boy, and yes, you have your hands full !

Very, very adorable! And think about sweet little Goldie - - - in a new home and trying to make friends with that other canines. Transition can be difficult at any age. I admire your energy to train and keep up with a new baby!
She's gorgeous! And your photos - wow, Tammy!
She is so adorable!!! How big will she grow?
Whiskers still hasn't accepted Ember, after 5 months I don't hold out much hope!
From someone who is oh so grateful her 2 pups are 1 1/2 years old finally - yes indeed....you have your hands full my friend. :) They are so sweet as puppies though and she is just beautiful.
cute dog! the pecking order thing reminds me of our horses. when we first got our second horse, the first one showed him who dominated the twosome! :)
