Stormy October Sunday

We started our Sunday with blue skies and sunshine, a rare treat for us this entire month. Then, storms began to blow in during mid-afternoon. We do not need any more rain for awhile, however the dark skies and Fall color made for a good combination. More Autumn pictures, anyone? I just can’t help myself… It will all be over with before we know it!

I love the view across the neighbor’s corn field. That blue tower in the 2nd photo  is our rural water supply, of course! It’s one landmark we use to direct new visitors to the farm.

While I’m posting pics, here is a quick Barn/Cottage update. The Fiddler has been busy the past couple of weekends, mudding the sheetrock. It looks like we’re on the final layer. Sanding to begin soon! Then our “Barnwood panels”  will be installed on the lower portion of the walls. It’s the faux stuff, but it actually looks pretty convincing.

Hope you’re enjoying a nice Sunday ~ wherever you may be!

We've had too much rain too, most of the time it's just gray and yuk. But I love when a big storm is on the horizon, and you captured the majesty perfectly. What an amazing backdrop to the fall folliage. Nature astounds me so many times when I least expect it. Thanks for sharing!

Hey..your absolutely right..you have to take advantage..it's one of the most beautiful times- besides, the collage is an indication of just how hard it is to choose huh?!! The next one reminds me of Kansas or something out of a story book- I love it! Thanks for sharing your wonderful slice of the world-

I think this is the most beautiful October I have ever seen. The colors have been extra bright. I never tire of seeing your photographs!
It is raining at my house right now.
I will miss the bugs this winter.

Funny I don't remember seeing that big blue tower when we came to visit. Gabby Garmin didn't point this landmark out.
Love your fall photos, as I drove to work this morning in rain, so many of the leaves have fallen from all the rain. Winter is approaching way too fast. Do is the end of daylight savings time.
Enjoy the opening of that new hardware store this week. Good luck to PW

You are so right about not needing any more rain!
As always, your mosaic is beautiful!
How does the rural water supply work? We are all on individual wells here in Tn country. I think that is interesting. How many homes does it supply? (I know always am full of questions!)
I have an email that I keep forgetting to give to you. It's also on my sidebar.

Wow! Great shots! I especially love the corn field one without the water tower in it.
If you were in 4H, you'd go to the State fair for sure!
The beautiful red and yellow leaves are falling fast around here. They were gorgeous while they lasted tho. 45 degrees for a high today.

Lovely fall photos! It truly is my favorite time of the year! I even love the rain and cooler nights because I know it brings out the foliage colors. Hope you have a blessed week!

yeah Tammy no more rain! Rained here most of the day. Yesterday we went to Trenton and it rained on us all the way home! Beautiful shots, I love the water tower picture. You mean you don't have to mess with a well?!

I agree, let there be no more rain! That is all it has been doing here, I am so tired of the wet and mud. But I won't see anything else until May!
Beautiful pictures!!

We had a big storm move here on Sunday also. So much rain it washed away lots of gravel we had just put down at the barn but we definitely needed the rain.
I love seeing your fall pictures because it's been over here for quite some time and we are in that winter dull mode before the snow arrives and makes it beautiful.

I really love that pic of the neighbor's cornfield. Marvelous shot! And you're right, it's going to be winter before we know it... the only good thing about it is possibly great photos. :)

The photos are beautiful and the barnwood panels are really lovely.
I'm wondering if we'll be neighbors soon. We'll be in the southwest part of the state.
