Yes, people in the country tend to find “different” types of entertainment. In our case, it’s usually critter entertainment of some sort. Tonight we were amused by Hazel the Kitten investigating a baby Bullsnake (non-venomous).
(By the way, what is it with our snake population this year?)
He was kinda cute and very calm, for a snake I s’pose. I am also told that it is a blessing to have abundant and varied wildlife in one’s yard ~ it means you have a healthy environment in which to thrive. This year, our environment seems exceedingly healthy…
I’m happy to report that both snake and kitten escaped, unscathed.
After dark, I tried my hand at night photography. Not so successful, but I will work on it. I was also reminded of our son’s favorite bedtime story when he was little. After the story, we would go down the list to wish goodnight to everything and everyone until someone fell asleep.
So here’s my Goodnight Moon, and….

Tammy, your 'not so successful' night photography looks beautiful to me. Hazel's little white ankle socks are very cute. And the snake? Although I'm not a huge fan, he's beautiful in his own right. You are blessed to be surrounded by nature.

I have always tried to take pic's of the moon, but it doesn't work for me.
We finished the A Country Harvest fabric line and will finish the Winter Thyme tomorrow and then off they go. I will be glad it is behind me!!! Thank you for all the encouragement and the prayers. At church this morning we had a praise time of how the Lord has answered our prayers this last week. I have been totally blessed by Him for sure.

The vet is coming from University of Tn on Wed. to check on Miss D. We are getting a little concerned. This baby just does not want to appear! I'll keep you posted.

Does that go the same for inside insects? This morning while BT was sleeping I was washing my hair. When I picked up the towel there was a big brown spider the size of a 50 cent piece (does that coin date me or what?)
I jumped everytime I tired to smash it. It was not going free!

I also am entertained by nature and her critters and I am in the city! I fancy bugs and birds although kitties and snakes are fun!

Hi Tammy, The vet did come out today and she palpated Miss D. The foal is fine-about 2-3 weeks away from birth! What a long summer so far for her...poor thing. I am going to post on the blog because so many have asked about her-including you!! Thanks for thinking of her :)
Just wish this humidity would leave so she would be more comfy!

Really? Well, then, we certainly have a VERY healthy environment here on our 26 acres. I've lost count of all the snakes, turtles, frogs, birds that I've seen this season!
And you are definitely right about the critter entertainment. I wish I always had my camera slung around my neck to catch some of their antics. :)
Awww, love this! My son is allll grown...and I wish I could shrink him little again...just for a day...ok, maybe a week...or two. I think I need grandchildren! :-) Love the kitty pic...they are sooo curious! I come across snakes around here every now and then...usually sunning themselves in my gardens. I don't mind because they eat other stuff that I definitely don't want around here. How's that for making lemonade out of lemons? :-)
