Tuesday’s Pickins

I am going to show off because we usually have a really sad garden. This year, we have a newer – bigger - better garden plot. Bonus: it’s close to the Bee Yard. I think they helped make a huge difference. It’s been fun to work in the gardens with the bees during the early morning hours.

We had plentiful rain early in the season, but we began slow-soaking this garden with the water tank once a week when the hot, dry weather set in over a month ago.

It’s a blessing to have these “pickins” every other day or so.

Currently, the temperature here in mid-Missouri is 96. Summer’s been fun, but I’m ready for cooler temps and all things Fall.. how about you?

Nice to see someone with a good garden. Mine was an abject failure, the little I managed to plant has not appreciated the excessive rain. Maybe next year I'll have some nice pictures to post:)

Hey, I hear you as we are currently sharing that hot weather. You do have an abundance of goodness there, and I love how the antler got thrown in which looks very natural. Love your header. Looking forward to cool down and possibly some rain someday.

I love that you grew those funky little baby pumpkins! I love those for fall decor. Those aren't edible... are they?

Beautiful! Well, we had a lovely Fall feel, until today.....today we were in the upper 90's as well and humid. By Friday, however, we'll be back to Fall. Yippeee!!

First, yes, I totally agree with you... I'm so over Summer!! We had at least 3 days last week over 100 degrees. Today was the first day that was a bit more tolerable.

Second, WOW! your produce looks awesome and the way you set it all up for your photos is absolutely gorgeous. We've got two pumpkins (regular size) that are turning orange already.

And lastly, I positively love your new header, esp the type treatment and the little horse and chicken you included. That is just too cool! ;-)

Wow- that is a bounty for sure! I'm ashamed to even mention my one poor cucumber plant!

What a beautiful bounty from your garden! I have to say we are surprised to have such cool temps here in Texas. The days are a little hot still but the nights have gotten quite chilly. Hope you keep enjoying good weather.

All that is from your garden? I really need to bump up what I plant. This last year I only planted pumpkins and cucumbers (which didn't do well at all)

I just love how you are always changing up your banner.... and I really, really, really love this new one! No, really, I do! :-) I'm a big fan of cool old pick-up trucks (and want one someday!) so your new banner really struck a chord with me. Very original and unique!
