10 inches (more or less) on the ground in our neck of the woods.
An ice dam has formed on our roof and is causing another slow leak in this ol’ house.
The Blacksmith has been plowing and plowing. The Fiddler has been scooping. We are sufficiently dug out, for now.
Another dumping of snow is coming over the next couple of days. So it all begins again…
This weekend I spent lots of front porch time, in coat and stocking cap, with coffee by my side, doing this…
{my kind of snow fun!} I’m sure anyone driving by knows I’m crazy! I ♥ “my” birds.
This red-wing blackbird told me Spring was here.
I don’t believe him, do you?
What’s happening where you are?
Wherever you are, stay safe, be well! Before we know it, Spring will be here. Right?!

i love your big pan 'o seeds. :) cute little birds enjoying your diner. sorry about all the shoveling, though!
I love my birds too, but... I'm not much on sitting outside in the cold and snow. Maybe I ought to try it sometime.
We only got 8 inches of the white stuff, so I guess I'd better count my blessings, huh. Spring, oh spring, wherefore are though, spring?
Wonderful pictures!
Yes spring will be here soon, I had snow on the mountain, baby goats in my bathtub, and daffodils are blooming, spring is coming.
Beautiful birds! I'm sorry to hear about the leaks. Hope you stay safe through the next storm.
Ok, I wondered who got the snow. We only got a few piddlin inches. That's quite a bit for yall isn't it? I love the birds too. The starlings, not quite so much. Sorry about the snow mess.

Red Wing Black bird males arrived 2 weeks ago. Always a good sign, BUT we have another snowstorm coming.
Had wet, heavy snow yesterday and now more on the way. I consider it cheap fertilizer and am grateful for it as long as the winds do not knock down all the big oaks and maples. Its almost sugaring time too!!
Drop by when you have a chance.

What wonderful photos Tammy...love your seed containers and I see the birds do too...I hope your leaks are contained, there is nothing worse than a leaky roof in the middle of winter. The snow continues to fall here in Maine, wet heavy snow, the plowing is slow going. I am afraid spring is along ways away from us here in New England. On a positive note, sap buckets have been spotted hanging from maple trees! Blessings, Julie.
Neat way of feeding the birds on the chair in a bowl. If I did that - the squirrels would come in and chase out all the birds and stuff their cheeks till they pop!!
We are having high 50's and sunshine...I am so sorry you are snowed in..I ams os ready for Spring and we havae had very little snow...I am sure you are. So happy you are feeding the birds...Stay warm and stay safe..Blessings!
Great pics.
I think our birds have flown the "coop" so to speak. We
have heard them chirping here
lately but I haven't seen any for a long time.
Stay warm and enjoy all that snow we are going to get!!!
M :)
yes, i actually do believe the red winged blackbird~! he says:"have faith, the spring is almost here."
our red winged blackbirds are just beginning to make an appearance and my husband is a doubter too . . . i refuse to think that they do not know the proper timing. we shall see.

The bird photos are just beautiful. Not sure when the snowfall will actually stop......and no, I don't believe the bird who told you Spring is coming. :) We'll see....
Good Morning Tammy! Lovely pictures of those feathery little birdies! We are ready for the next hit I guess. I know we need the moisture. Our roof better not leak, we just got all new everything on the roof in the Fall thanks to last April's hail! Take care!
Tammy, I wish I was right beside you on the porch watching birds and sipping a hot drink. I am an outside girl and love the snow. All your pics are wonderful and the enamelware pan is perfect for seed. We are expecting a storm again here tonight but looks like ice this time. Wonderful post, I sure enjoyed it:)
Stay safe and warm with the new snow coming. The photos of your feathered friends are spectacular, as always.
I do not believe your friend. I'm thinking the cold and snow are staying for a while longer. :/
Great pictures, Tammy. We had snow this weekend, too. I'm ready for spring:)
Brrrrr!!! Spring is wonderful but not summer!
My cats would have fun playing with the birds.
I love the birds, too, but I just take off the screen and roll out the window (we have casements) and shoot! You got some great shots.
It's snowing here! We're supposed to get another foot of snow or close to it. Ugh. Stay safe and warm!
Just started snowing up here. I've seen lots of red cardinals around, so spring must be coming up some time soon!!!
I hope we're on the edge of the snow and we don't get much...
Cute pan 'o seeds!
That's a clever (and lovely) way to do it!
Stay cozy.
These pictures are beautiful!
