Big Muddy

Nope, not the Missouri River, aka Big Muddy. This describes the current condition of our driveway, and everyone else’s around us.

IMG_8941

How’s the weather around you? We really can’t complain. The temps have been in the 40’s most days, still dipping down to 20 or so at night. But it’s getting a little better every day. The birds are singing their Spring songs. I’m still waiting for those Western Chorus Frogs to sing, but the ponds still look very cold and partially frozen.

I’m taking a blog break to take care of some UNpleasantries. Taxes for one thing.. boo!

Till then… Cheers to all! Hope you’re seeing signs of Spring too!

I hear you girl regarading the mud!
Yesterday did your ears ring? BT and I saw a popcorn pan, I asked him if he wanted to buy it and roast cofee beans like you and PW, he laughed!

Hope you recover quickly from your unplesantries.

Funny how some days bloggers just have a common thread.... I just finished my post for tomorrow and it is about the weather "winter or spring" -- our mud is a ways out yet... but I wish we could skip it! I also had the big T word "taxes" on my list -- finished up my part today, now Hubby needs to do a few things and off to the accountant it goes! I'd rather be blogging! Hurry with those taxes and get back to your blog :)

Hope you are back soon! Perhaps by then you will have a nice change in the weather.

We had a gorgeous day yesterday (as obvious by my post).

Your driveway looks a great deal like ours, except now it`s dropped back down below 20 at night so the mud and slush are frozen!

Good luck with the taxes!

Our weather has been similar to yours here in the Midwest. We still have snow on the ground, but not for much longer as the temps are to get up into the upper 40's and 50's this weekend. Sorry about your driveway. Guess it makes car washing kind of moot:)

Oh my... us too... and our paddock is like a river of poo, that freezes into a poo iceberg at night. YUCK!

Tammy, oh yeah that looks all too familiar in our little bit of country! At least you made a beautiful picture out of it though! The weather has been sooooo much better and very nice. The sun is just wonderful to see! I have been thinking about a blog break too, how does life get so busy after being so sloooowww?!

Enjoy your break(get rid if the UNpleasantries)at Flat Creek Farm!

You are a bit ahead of us, we still have several feet of snow on the ground. But the temperatures are mild and the snow is turning to slush. Mud is just around the corner.

Oh my. That could be MY drive! I fish tail everytime I try to drive up it. The gravel guys are going to make a bundle after this winter thaw is over. I'd run out and take a picture if I had time.

Good luck on those taxes.

Oh man. I remember the mud days back in Ohio. Don't sink up to your eyebrows. And hope your time off isn't too tax-ing! ha!

I think we are a little dryer than you, but then, it looks like you still have some snow, and we don't. Hope everything unpleasant vanishes QUICKLY, and you can get back to the good stuff. Enjoy the beautiful weekend they SAY we are going to get. Hope to "hear" from you soon! Robbin

We've had sunshine all week and the temps are supposed to rise up to 10C this weekend. Time to wash and clean the cars.

I'd like to bathe Callie too but then I think of the mud...kind of pointless right now!

We still have piles of snow here, but the temps are to be in the 40's this weekend. Wahoo! I haven't seen a robin yet, but some of friends have. I'm so looking forward to spring this year.

Good luck with the tax thing :D

Love the new layout! We've had some warm days this week, hitting 60 degrees! It's been great, even though it means a muddy backyard, and with a new puppy it does get a bit messy.

It was sunny and 58 degrees with a perfect south easternly breeze...perfect to fly kites!
I also saw a sweet honey bee on a crocus...Spring is wakeing up! Hope the mud dries up so you can get out and about before Spring rains!
See you when your chores are finished....
Happy Spring!

Bug and I went out on the front porch the other night to see if we could see Venus and we heard some frogs in the distance. So enchanting! Your muddiness looks like a headache to me...but heaven for a 3 year old in galoshes. :o)
