In Everything, Give Thanks

I’m thankful to be back to blogging this week of Thanksgiving. I don’t know what my problem was last week. Blogger’s Block perhaps? Is there really such a thing?

We’ve enjoyed a few days with sporadic sunshine. It’s so very much appreciated after yet another run of several days and no peek of sunshine, accompanied by lots more rain. And tomorrow, again….
more rain.

The kittens are going to their new homes very soon. Bittersweet! I am thankful they have good homes to go to.

Notice the super close-up blurry shot of Harley (Mama Cat) during supper time. Remember when she wasn’t my friend? She’s my BEST friend now. I can pick her up very easily. She’s always bumping up against my leg for a rub. She entrusted me first with her kittens, and then she herself became more friendly and loving.  The larger yellow cat is none other than older brother Henry. He’s really grown, and about due for a trip to the vet for snip-snip. As are the remainder of our permanent barn & shop cat family.

I am cooking Wednesday for a small group here at the Farm. And Thanksgiving Day we will celebrate at my parents. My dear mother is doing most of the cooking that day ~ thank you, Mom!

I also plan to do lots of these this week and throughout the holidays. So many delicious calories this time of year :)

What are your plans for Thanksgiving? I would enjoy hearing about them! I wish you a Blessed & Safe Thanksgiving. I hope you have much to be thankful for. I know that we do ~ yes, even on those rainy days!

I was wondering where you were! Love the picture of the Ball jar with the candle. I collect them and I should try that! We're going to my sisters. I really wanted to do Thanksgiving but with the construction it was just impossible. We are mostly done on the inside, just cleaning up on the outside which I hope hubby will get to this weekend. Enjoy your dinner on Wednesday and then again with your mom on Thursday!!

Happy TDay to you and yours. We will enjoy good company. There will be no white flour this year so our "stuffing" is roasted parsnips, rutabagas, turnips, yams, Brussels sprouts, et al with poultry seasoning. Mmmmmmm, tastes like stuffing.

Bloggers block? I think it definitely it exists!
Those really are the most adorable kittens, if I was closer I would have begged for one. : )

I may have already celebrated Thanksgiving, but why celebrate once if you can do it twice? I have a vacation day on Thursday..for a couple of reasons but you can bet I'll be watching the Macy's parade!

Be well! ~Andrea~

Yes Tammy there is blogger's block, I get it ALL the time! Those kitties are all darling, big and little alike. And as a cat lover just a big thank you at this Thanksgiving time for taking care of these kitties. Loving them, finding the babies homes and the snip-snip part. I wish some way we could make all their lives better. Those kitties at Flat Creek Farm landed in a good place!

We had our family Thanksgiving just this past Sunday so it will just be me and Country Husband this year with Chicken and Dumplings(noodles)and some stuffin' and smashed potatoes, green bean casserole and cranberries! We have alot to be thankful and thankful we are.

Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family and all of Flat Creek Farm Tammy! I am happy to have "met" you this year!

Happy Thanksgiving, Tammy to you and yours--I just wished I was there on the farm with you--but then I would probably not be much help inside as I would want to be outside playing with the kitties and checking out the other animals!!! I am not sure about you having "blogger's block"--I would think that there would be something on the farm happening everyday to take pictures and to share with all the rest of us==especially those of us who are "wanna be on the farm" but are stuck in the town life!!!!
Take care and enjoy your home cooked food--
Hugs, Di

Happy Thanksgiving! Small group of in-laws on Thursday (18 or so), then on Friday my side of the family reunion that we're hosting nearby (about 92 so far...) I expect to be on my feet a LOT in the next 2 days.
Have a great one!

I SOOOO love your mama cat. She just has a very intelligent look about her. Isn't it fun to be able to earn their confidence and their love? I adore the kittens, too.

Happy Thanksgiving to you.

We all have days, sometimes weeks, where we just don't have the time or desire to blog. It happens! Just go with the flow and usually you'll always be back. :)

And those precious kitties... they are all so freaking cute. I can imagine how hard to give them all up, but if they all ended up with good homes, that's a very comforting thought.

We will be heading north in a few hours, to hubby's sister's house (2 hrs north). I sneaked in an early morning walk and now I have a lil bit of time to myself to visit some blogs. With my cup of hazelnut coffee. :)

Enjoy your day with family, and try not to eat too much! LOL

*hugs*
Susan
